Alma is only about an hour and a half from Minneapolis, right on the river and so very pretty.  We have great restaurants here, including Kate and Gracie's, Pier 4, Alma Hotel, Julie's Fin and Feather Pizza, and Traxx. 
           The catfish are biting, so I hear, and the barges and riverboats are entertaining us with their gentle traffic.  Wings Over Alma has visitor spotting scopes so that you can watch the eagles soaring and the art galleries are going strong.  There is no better time to visit, but remember....
